This was a fun challenge. Taking an iconic 2D anime character hat and translating it into a real-world artwork for CDT. After hours of looking at character sketches, 3D renders, action figures, and TV series, I felt that any attempt at a 3D version would fall flat on the crown shape, especially the asymmetrical design achieved by the character artist in One Piece!
